However, the fact that fax systems still exist is, frankly, both disgusting and hilarious. Email has been around since before I was born, and email has always been more secure than fax. If I simply plug a small recording device into a phone line, I can copy and save all faxes sent and received on that line. Taking a document from email requires actual skill and knowledge of computer systems, not to mention very obviously and blatantly breaking dozens of federal laws. Simply picking up another phone on the line and recording the tones is enough to steal a fax. That being said, this app makes having to deal with the pure, unadulterated garbage that is faxing a little more tolerable. Sure, the formatting in this app isn’t always easy to nail down, but news flash; faxing is stupid and antiquated and should have died while I was still in diapers. This app gets the job done faster and more tolerably than a fax machine, without the urge to find a baseball bat and put the fax machine out of it’s geriatric misery. Okay, I still have that urge anyway.

I was overseas on vacation and needed to send a work related fax quick. Of course where I was at, the cyber cafes didnt have the ability to send an international fax. Discovered this app by accident and it got me out of a tight spot. I Highly recommend it

As I ran around town searching for a way to fax a document, I found myself wondering why anyone uses fax any more as antiquated as it is, I also contemplated why there wasn’t an app for that. Low and behold there is! And it’s free…well only up to a certain degree. If you simply want a way to send or receive an occasional fax, this is a great option. However if you are needing to send a lot more than just a few, you’ll have to pay for the service.

Failed faxes count towards your free credits which I think is really crappy. I’ll stick to using FaxFile where I can purchase credits as necessary and not pay $80. There are many many Fax Apps, no need to stick to one that you don’t like. Be more competitive FaxBurner.

This app saved me a ton of money today! If you ever need a one-off fax machine for a 24-hour period, cant beat this for free. Files sync and are accessible through Dropbox, too. Theres also an option to pay for your own permanent fax number if you feel you need that. I dont think theres another fax app that also allows you to receive faxes, and this does both FOR FREE. Filed State LLC docs and received fax replies via this app. Impressed and telling everyone I know about it!

A scanner! Add a scan function and this would be an awesome app - four and a half stars would be a five star app with this addition.

Tried it twice and the fax failed both times. No way of knowing why. And no customer support; no number to call or email for questions.

This is the first review on a software app I have ever written! I was in a jam trying to find a place for us to receive a secure fax. Found this app and tried it. I have no idea what perilous is talking about. The fax came through clear, easily readable, and printable. They even extended my fax number by 12 hours to make sure first-time users get their fax.

I cant imagine anybody trying to use this app to regularly send or receive faxes, but every couple months I need to send or receive a fax and this app is perfect for it. A lot of the positive reviews on this app sounded fake to me so I was skeptical, but so far so good. I needed to send a fax once and I needed to receive a fax once. Both times were successful.

This app is GREAT! You can send up to five pages for FREE and all you need to do is create an account using your email and a password. This is required because faxburner sends you an email confirmation of the fax that you send with an attachment containing a copy of all of the pages that were sent in the fax. Its FREE and you get email confirmation for proof.......you cant get any better than that!! Thank you faxburner!!!

I needed to send a fax, without a machine and without a hardline to connect a machine to. Downloaded FaxBurner… airdropped my file to my phone… message popped up asking what app I wanted to use to open file, I select FaxBurner, and automatically is starts composing a new fax!!! Punch in the receiver’s fax number, hit send and Presto! fax sent, I got an email in about 2-3 minutes confirming that I sent the fax. Simple, quick, and exactly what I needed at the time. Sending my 2 pages was free. Perfect. In the event I would have to fax on a regular basis I would have no problem paying for this service. Thanks again.

I love this application , very simple to use and the free version is really free. After 5 pages of outbound fax, they want you to buy the credits. There is nothing wrong with it, I dont mind paying for service. I dont send fax that many times. Just once or twice a month. They want me to buy a number for 9.97 per month. If they had like something for 2$ to 3$. Or pay as you go, that will be really nice

I really do like this program. I have used it a few times over the past few years, only the free version. I usually dont give five star reviews because I dont consider anything to be completely perfect and without flaws, if I could I would give it a 4.5 stars because I have had a fail once or twice and have had to resort to other methods to get my fax sent but all in all when Ive been in a bunch and needed it, it has worked. I have had a pay per fax app in the past and have had fails with those and lost my credits, so Id much rather work with a free app if it isnt a terribly important matter I need faxed. Not having landlines as convenient has really become a burden at times but apps like these help!! I dont think any of the paid apps could be any better, unless you need extra whistles and bells of office suite programs, but if you have mild to major faxing needs and a permanent number and straight simple faxing to do I would highly recommend purchasing through this app.
